HALO ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal-safety app published by Gleapx. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. HALO is local-first and privacy-first: we collect the minimum needed to keep you safe, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Photos, video and audio you capture in the Evidence vault are encrypted on your device with AES-256; the key lives in your device's secure keystore. This evidence is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Only to provide HALO's safety features — alerting your circle, sharing your live location during an event you start, managing your subscription, and improving reliability. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account inside the app. This erases your profile, your circle, and associated cloud records, and signs you out. On-device evidence is removed when you delete the app.
Evidence is AES-256 encrypted on-device; location is shared only with people you choose and only during a session you start; sign-in is protected by phone verification and an optional biometric app-lock.
HALO is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
